Back in 2020, I started knitting baby
hats and have continued doing so since then. I’ve
donated to local organizations but always hoped some
would make it to Sierra Leone, Africa.
My
son-in-law, Tom, has been going there for many years
with an organization called The Bridge of Hope. I
recently gave him some baby hats to take on his next
trip, which turned out to be a few days ago, January
4th. Tom sent me this picture this morning.
The
dream of my little hats getting to Sierra Leone has
come true! A huge thank you to Tom and The Bridge of
Hope! I absolutely love this! My eyes are misty, I
have a lump in my throat and my heart is happy…

About the hats ~

The Tag: The tag on the hat indicates
where the seam is, and it's meant to be worn
with the tag in the back for the best fit
and appearance. |

Warm and Cozy: The sports team hats are
made with thick Softee Chunky yarn, to
provide warmth during cold weather.
They might be a bit too warm for extended
indoor wear but they are perfect for showing
team support and excitement at the kickoff
of the game, even when indoors! |

Washable Acrylic: The hats are made from
washable acrylic yarn, making them easy to
clean. Gentle hand washing is recommended,
especially to protect the pom-pom
decoration. |

|
Pom-Pom Care: To maintain the appearance of
the pom-pom, it may be necessary to gently
fluff it up if it gets slightly flattened
during shipping or storage. |
|
|
Cuff size: You can adjust the cuff size
according to your preference. Some people
prefer a smaller cuff, while others like a
larger cuff. |
|
|
Style: Some people like the hat to
come to the top of their forehead, others
like it just above their eyebrows! Some
like the hat to cover their ears, others
above their ears! Adjusting the cuff size
changes the style! |
